The Calling - "Wherever You Will Go"

In July of 2001, The Calling released their first CD, Camino Palmero. The CD featured what would become one of my favorite songs of all time, "Wherever You WIll Go". I had no idea the impact the song would have on me over the course of the following 3 years. When my partner of nearly 7 years left in the Spring of 2003, I realized there was nothing I could do to stop him. His mind was made up. A difficult process for both of us. Having worked to "let him go" over the past 10 months, every time I hear this song, I think of him. I truly believed that I would always be there for him. And though I would never turn on him, (or any friend in their hour of need), I often wonder "who will be there (for him) to take my place". When I commit to someone in love, I give them my all, I realize sometimes it's not enough. When I love someone, they are forever in my heart. This page was composed in April 2004.
