This 1988 ad indicates a 10 year anniversary. The bar started it's life on Route 70, before moving to Cuthbert Blvd location. I visited both locations, and the second one had a big dance floor to get shaking on.
In the case of Gatsby's their demise may have been the non-renewal of their liquor license, as this article would indicate the bar closed around 1995. Story link.
